A wood burning stove is the traditional way to heat a sauna. It requires a chimney or flue which passes through the roof. The boards require cutting and a waterproof collar must be fitted. The flue must be tall enough to discharge the exhaust fumes harmlessly. The correct flue height varies from site to site. We recommend that you employ a HETAS registered installer to install the stove and the flue. The installer will normally supply a suitable flue. We always provide details of the clearances required around your heater to assist with siting.
